Polish is the 29th most spoken language in the world, and is one of the most widely spoken Slavic languages. The official language of Poland, Polish is spoken by most of the 38 million inhabitants of Poland (census 2002) and anywhere up to 48 million Poles living across the world. Countries that have a significant Polish speaking population include the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Brazil, Israel, Canada and the United States.

Polish Dialects
There are a great many dialects in the Polish language that are unique to the various regions of Poland.
